West Virginia is implementing new laws that enable unlimited hydraulic fracking in landfill areas. West Virginia along with states such as Ohio have rich material in the earth that fracking helps get to. Fracking has been used to take natural gases, from deep within the earth. Fracking has been attracting a lot of th emedia lately because of the chemical spills and the correlation with earth quakes. This raises the question is it safe to pursue fracking because of the way its conducted.
Fracking can be seen as very helpful in terms it helps sustain our economy it is used to get materials that are, as far as we know it abundant on earth. Is the use of fracking abusing the power we have to take to much from the earth? This is a question may be raised in terms of the recent increase in earthquake activity. As far as we know it fracking can lead to places having vile and toxic chemicals that spill out from these pipes that make way into fertile soil, that host crops and food for animals. We must be aware and ask ourselves does the positive outweigh the negative. That is for you to decide.
